Hi, I am doing my cert ed at the mo and yes iam sure it leads to QTS.

Cert Ed leads to QTLS - (qualified teacher learning and skills)

QTS (qualified teacher status) is teaching in schools
QTLS is for teaching in adult learning (the required status for the full teaching role in lifelong learning sector)

Once you have your cert ed do you not have to do a year as an NQT (newly qualified teacher) and then you obtain QTS?

It has been a long time since I did mine but I thought you still had to do an NQT year.
