I want to put pictures of celebrities on my website i.e Katie Price, Lady gaga etc

As when i was watching Katie and peter stateside last night when i look at these kind of celebs it makes me want to pamper myself, it makes me want to have my nails done and have a tan.

Do you think it would have the same impression on clients?
Also am i allowed to put pictures of celebs on my website?

I very much doubt it.Someone will have rights over those pictures.

I think its ok to use images of celebs who are now deceased hence why I stick to 1950s black and white glamour shots....I have included my logo...

I think that if I came across a site that had pictures of celebrities if I would be confused as to what the site is about? If your site is about beauty services etc why not have pictures that make people think "beauty" there are sites with stock photos that you can use for free with images of nails, tanned skin, nice make-up etc. Celebrities like those don't really make me think about getting a tan or anything (but thats my personal opinion, others might be different!)

You need to have permission to use most photos. Rights to a photo are usually owned by the photographer or the agency they work for.

You absolutely need to have permission to use a celebrity photo. If the copyright holder discovers unauthorized usage, they can pretty much demand whatever fee they want

There are a few websites that specialize in celebrity photos - they aren't cheap, but can save you a lot of trouble in the long run if you are adamant you want to use such pictures on your website
