I love the new geekbay, at least if bidding/buying on here you can trust people to come up with the goods.
I would object to paying more on here than I would at wholesalers, there are a couple of items over-priced so double check prices before you bid or you could end up paying twice the price.
Gonna have to go and have a good look through all my surplus products now and see what I can add.

I was also wondering about the flammable goods on Geekbay, are they going to be sent by courier??

I think Mr geek himself has done a wonderful job on geekbay. A big round of applause being sent his way. Had a browse on their today its cool, excellent idea on the 1 : 1 I must say and all for charity, will this be happening again, I.e after xmas when Im less skint lol. Watch out ebay, geekbay rules!!

I second that - Mr G should auction himself on a regular basis so we can all get bit of 1 to 1 training with him !!!

Well, thanks for that. I am pretty pleased with it so far (though there are still some kinks to work out with it).

I am putting together terms and conditions now. I had them up before but I had to remove them when I integrated the system with the rest of the site.
Sellers caught sending hazardous goods incorrectly may face a site wide ban.
Sellers caught selling pro products to non professionals may face a site wide ban.
Sellers not sending to winners may face a site wide ban.
Buyers caught not paying may face a site wide ban.
The category for selling items will eventually incur a small charge with each add placed. Currently it is FOC as I am still ironing out the system. The small charge will help offset the increased expense to offer the system, the extra bandwidth and server load (not to mention the base cost of the software).
I will inform everyone far in advance of this though and any ads on there before I impose the small cost will not be charged (only for new posts).
The other areas of GeekBay (Job Postings and Looking for...) will be FOC.

As for the auctioning of my time. It was karren that suggested doing it for charity. I loved the idea and so now it is going to charity. I have spoken to Marian Newman about something along these lines and she is going to look into offering something as soon as she can. I am sure that many people will contribute in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully most will be for charity but I am sure not everyone can be in a position to offer free time all the time

I will offer again when I see that I can make the time.
