I felt like this when i started as i had missed the first class due to been in hospital so had to play catch up,
once the first essay was done i got more into the swing of it, i had about 10 essays, 10 learning journals, lesson plans and all sorts to do in such a short space of time, don't know if it has changed much in the last couple of years, as long as you don't miss no classes you will soon get into it all, hth |

You will be fine. The dissertations you get are easy as they provide all the info to write them.
It is a feeling of fish out of water for the first few weeks as you get blinded with jargon and paper work! When you get to lesson plans and the more practical side its easier! I just told my tutor I was a 'Tactile' learner and she was not doing her job properly if she couldnt get through to me!!! obviously in a funny way. If you feel swamped speak to the tutors as they are there to help. The pttls though is the hardest of them all as its an intro to a degree I think. |

I have completed mine too and hated it, my tutor gave us no help what so ever. Kitty the dissertations you spoke off with the info we got NONE!!!! was told to go buy a book and get on with it. Most of the learners on my course were already tutors and they struggled. Ladies on here helped me immensely when I was ready to give up. I recommend Ann Gravells book preparing to teach in the life long sector there is also another one that goes with it too but forget the name of it you can find them on amazon. You will get through it hun if you need any pointers give us a shout. I found it a lot of information to take in in a short space of time. But it didnt help that our tutor was a grumpy so and so, Im sure you will sail through it. I think I struggled as I felt out of place as all the others were tutors and one of the students would tut at me when I didnt understand so i ended up when I didnt understand would look away sharpish and go to the tutor at the end who would then moan at me. I didnt have a good rapor with the tutor but I did enjoy the micro teach but just found the paper work hard work. good luck Debx |

Hiya,
I felt exactly the same when I started...it took till week three for it to start sinking in...after that I really enjoyed it and am now on the Cert Ed... Stick with it...you'll be so proud of yourself when you've finished it... Good luck, Sarah x |
