I have very short dark hair,which i have clippered approx every 6 weeks (no 1 all over ) .I have started to get a few grey hairs at sides and am considering hair colour to cover this . would rather do this now before too many greys appear . the salon i go to have advised against this saying the hair dye would also colour my scalp asmy hair is thinning in the middle and therefore would look wrong .

any help on optionsi have greatly appreciated

They are right and it is not a good look. I would recommend growing your hair into a style and then colouring. It just never looks natural on shaved hair.
