Looking for advice on hair extensions -

Hair Geeks,
Just popped over onto this site for some advice as I'm not a hair geek. I would dearly love some extensions, particularly for the top of my head to add volume rather than for any length. I have suffered in the past (and do so now sporadically) from psoriasis of the scalp and this combined with using a 20% salicylic acid to get rid of it has left my hair really sparse on the top and I'm getting more conscious of it the older I get. My question is, can you use extensions for volume where the natural hair is very thin, are there a particular kind I should look for to give the best results or given that the hair is very thin, should I just stay away from extensions and instead work with what is there? My hair is naturally quite curly (more curl than wave - ringlets around the side) but I often dry it straight as I find this helps to 'hide' the problem. Thanks in advance |

i use clip ins which give me extra volume......i reccomend just clip in ones for you as if your hairs on the thin side at the moment bonded hair extentions mite put to much pressure on your hair and cause breakage.....x

Thanks so much for the advice, yes, breaking the already thin hair is what I was worried about. Really useful info, thank you xx
