I'm currently working towards NVQ level 3 and struggling with unit G6 - Promoting additional products & services to clients

One of the questions is "what does Beauty Salons have to offer above other outlets (chemist chains, supermarkers, internet etc) in selling products?"
Ive got that Product Knowledge is greater. Good understanding of benefits of product and that products can be linked to services and needs of client. But need a few more.
Can anyone help please?

Salons stock 'professional' products that are much better quality than over the counter products your clients can buy in Boots etc.....
Also most professional ranges can only be bought from a Salon from staff who are trained in their use.

Professional is the key word here,
professional products contain higher percentages of the important ingredients
