Thumbs up Facial products - 02-09-09, 07:40 PM

When my salon opens i'm going to do facials but i'm used to dermalogica but their products are really expensive.
Can anyone tell me a website that does cheap dermalogica products or which brand would be good to use.

Thanks

If you are opening a salon then you absolutely need to have an authorised account with whichever skincare brand you choose. You need a tester stand, samples, posters, promotional material etc how on earth could you get that from a discount website?! Not to mention explaining to your clients why you don't have the full range......I don't think its going to look very professional especially if you tell them the reason why !!

Which ranges have you used before ? Whats your budget ?

Am I right in thinking your salon opens in a few weeks ? Im a little worried you've left it late in the day to book in on the training for whichever range you choose and most reputable skincare companies won't let you use the products without the correct training.

If you let us know your budget we can help more.

Whichever brand you use will involve investment of time & money, so rather than just go with one you know, look into your market & what you want from a skincare range. Then research skincare companies that fulfill your criteria, contact them, get samples & then make a decision. Whatever you do, don't go trawling internet sites to get cheap products - support the company that formulates & markets the products by only buying from the authorised supplier.

dermalogica rocks, their is no denying it, but i dunno bout where u are, but up here the market is flooded with it. . .
if your lookin for something high end, Priori isnt that much more expensive, but it is different and VERY good, and along the same line. . .
i am not a beauty therapist, but like dermalogica i know and have experienced the results for myself, and it excited me and many others i know. . . sorry prob not my place to say because im not a skin geek. . . jus chuckin my opinion into another range u might not be familiar with xx

There has already been a recent thread about Dermalogica products being purchased by unauthorized suppliers. Whilst we all need to watch our budgets, it really is not worth pursuing this avenue in the long run.

By purchasing your products from authorized Dermalogica suppliers, you will receive back-up and support by your authorized Dermalogica rep and you will constantly be reassured that you are getting the real deal. Ethically you owe it to pass this real deal on to your clients.

If you have already done your training with Dermalogica, then this is a bonus for you. Contact them to discuss your needs.

I did not train with Dermalogica or use their products, but appreciate the importance of always sourcing products from the authentic suppliers.

Have you tried Eve Taylor?
Their products are very good and they have no minimum order.
They scour ebay every day to make sure no-one is selling their products.
Clients won't be able to buy their products cheaper than in your salon so they are more likely to buy from you.
