Just thought I'd make a quick introduction here. My name is Ben. I am not a Salon Geek myself, I am a computer geek that sells websites and am have came across this website as I was doing some market research into how to better market to beauty salons and related industries.

I am hoping that if I offer some helpful advise to people on how to get an effective web site working, I'll be able to then get people to help me figure out the best way of marketing to beauty professionals. :-D

Anyway, I'll leave it that now. Just wanted to say hello really from both me and my wife/business partner Bertie who will also be posting on occasion (I am more technical she is more design). If you have any web related questions, do please feel free to ask. We'll do our best to answer!

When I used to plaster make-up on my Granny when I was about 9 she said I should be a beauty therapist..I'm 36 now but better late than never I suppose!! Why are Grannies always right?:)

It is so good to read about other people's experience from when they first started out in this industry, I now realise that it is not going to happen over night or as soon as I finish the course it is going to take lots and lots of practise to get to a standard I am happy with!!!!

I Had my nails done last month for my wedding at Harvey Nic's as a treat from my maid of honour but unfortunately they turned out so awful, My fingers were so sore and the acrylic was all bumpy it looked like the nails had been on over a week, I was so disappointed.:cry: I have always wanted to do nails so this has made me more determined to get myself into gear and book the course:idea:!!!
