I did 7/7 koloston foils just from fringe to crown as she has long layers it would cover sides and also colour at the nape of her neck, left it on for rec time, rinsed and it was a no show !!!:eek:

Popped home looked at what I had in stock that I could use with 7/7, I had plenty of reds coppers etc but only a little bit of 5 and little bit of 6, so i mixed half 7/7 quater 5 quater 6, I refoiled trying to pick out what I had already done, rinsed and bugger, it was too dark, looked almost a dark marly grey with her colour.

Anyhooo, she has just phoned me and said she wants some blonde through the top. and the dark through the middle secton, I am now thinking F.F.S, I'm frazzeled ! should I just stick a couple of bleach foils in the top and stick a few dark foils through the middle section ?

It does seem to work quite well, producing lovely shiny and even results but one time it was used on a client with grey hair on the roots it didn't cover at all and at a l'oreal course last week another salon who said they had used it said it hadn't covered?!? But the rep was very adament that you have to dab the colour on and not brush it! i'm a nail geek not a hair geek. i'm 8 months pregnant and need cheering up! i phoned my local hairdressers this morning to see about having my hair washed and blow dryed and a semi permanent colour. they advised against colouring,said they would do it if i wanted it done but wouldnt recommend it.
what would you guys say? just looking for a professional opinion and im sure opinions will vary but any advice would be greatly recieved.
my hair is mid brown and want to go to dark brown.

Was thinking of setting it a few £ cheaper than my last salon, although this is the price that some local salons are now at the moment.
Do you mobile geeks have it around the same, more expensive, or cheaper than the salons?
And with me just starting out, I was wondering how to get clients to get their hair done in Jan? Do any of you do offers etc in Jan?

She is naturally almost 100% white so I use a maj 7 and 7.3 on the roots all over with 6% and refresh the midlengths and ends with richesse 7.3 which she also has on the top in back to... Hi I am new to this website and I would like a bit of advice with a client that has bleached hi-lights, please! She is naturally almost 100% white so I use a maj 7 and 7.3 on the roots all over with 6% and refresh the midlengths and ends with richesse 7.3 which she also has on the top in back to back foils alternated with bleach. (I was also putting in a 9 with 9.13 foil but she decided the overall look was not defined enough which is why the last time I dropped this and I just used the bleach and 7/7.3 combo).
The problem now is that she doesn't like the contrast as the bleach is too much with the base 7.
The thing I am concerned with, is what I can put over the bleach that will tone it enough?and will last more than a couple of washes. I need a couple of shades as I am going to break up the bleach slices with two different shades. Then in future I will need to match it with a permanent tint as I don't want to use bleach anymore.

I did think about fine hi-lights all through but this will be impossible when it comes to the re-touch in 6 weeks.

I am thinking possibly the the richesse 7.3 as one shade but I am scared of it grabbing too much of the gold tone. If this would work, what could I put with it?

Any ideas would be welcome as it has been a while since I have had to deal with a challenge like this!!
