Question Colour Removal Help - 05-10-09, 10:00 PM

Hellooo

*First post here - I'm just a lurker, lol*

I started NVQ Level3 Hair at college on the 17th,
and last Wednesday we got our first clients of the year !

Mine happened to be a colour correction.
I'd say she was a Base of 8, and she had 6.66 & 7.6 on her hair since Jan this year.
I used 2 applications of Affinage Eraser (we only have Affinage products at college this year) . The first application hardly changed a thing, but with the 2nd application, there was quite a difference.

Her hair's lightened to something like a 7.4 now, I'd say (I have no
colour chart to hand, so I'm trying to remember ).
I only had time to do 2 app's of Eraser, but she's back again on Wednesday for more Eraser.

I took 2 test cuttings, and put 10.2 on one, and 10.117 on the other.
Neither look particularly different .

Is there anything else that anyone can suggest I could do?
I'll be doing at least 2-3 more applications of Eraser on Wed (time permitting) - Is there anything else I could do?

Thanks

That is because you have only taken it to a base of a 7. Putting a 10 on won't make any difference because you are still trying to lift tint.

I would lift the hair to a 10 and then put a toner on to correspond to your target shade. Hope this helps.
