Training for Special Occassion hair - 14-10-09, 12:45 PM

Hi!!

May be a bit of a strange question but I have a friend who is very good at doing hair for special occassions, like hair up and curls etc. She is keen to start doing this lkind of service on the general public (rather than her friends) but wouldnt get insurance without a qualification!

Do courses for this kind of thing exists if you are not formally trained as a hairdresser???

I know you can do courses like that here in Ireland cos i remember when i was looking around for different courses to do i stumbled across a few. here's the link for the LA make up academy, think they have a place somewhere in the UK
Two day intensive hair styling course | Make Up Courses | Make Up Lessons - LA Make Up

Not sure if thats helpful for you but at least you know they do actually exist!
