Toner - 14-03-12, 07:19 PM

Hey guys. Really stuck here. I'm only asking now as iv just done my roots.
Over the last few root applications, using the same bleach ad peroxide as I always have, my hair hasnt been lifting as well as normal.
Anyway, it's finally lifted to above a 12 like it used to. Any ideas why, not had any health problems, no change in products used etc... It's got me stumped. Iv tried 12.2 on for 45 mins after its been lifted to about a 9, it tones it, but after a wash it's back to a very golden 9.

Now my main problem. My hair is in good condition after bleaching, yet toner lasts 1 wash.
I'm using affinage Infiniti 9.2 with 3%, I use exactly on the same with my cousin, who has a poorer condition.
Hers lasts about 5 washes, mine 1, stumped.

C'mon geeks, your all great so some1 must know.

Xoxo

Maybe it's the shampoo!
I had a lady who would use one particular shampoo, coz others would make a huge different in such a small amount of time xx

Try 1 part 9,2, 1.5 parts 20 vol and 1 part shampoo and see if that works for you...this is how I always tone with affinage...when I do my own with 10,21 and 3% it never really has the same effect....are you using affinage developer?

Could it be the peroxide has oxidised, and is maybe been left open? Why don’t you next time try a brand new bottle and do the same mixing and technique and see how that’s works? I’ve had this problem in the past with old peroxide that i thought was brand new.
