How to deal with this, Matrix or Wella? - 15-03-12, 09:47 PM

Hi this is my sister-in-law, i didn't do this she's coming back to me after 12 year gap!
i've been getting advice from Bluerinse and others about using matrix, would be interested to know how you would deal with this as obviously still darker colour on ends, she wants to go ultimately to a base 5 or 6 golden brown. should I just take it to a flat brown, try to get it an even colour and start again?

You need something with green as a undertone to counteract the red, so in wella go with a flat double base, something like 55/0 or if that's too dark go for something lighter and maybe you could add mixer tone of 0/28 if you think it will need it
