01-12-06, 12:30 PM
I've been playing at dong hair extensions on myself (would never touch anyone else!) I just wondered if anyone knew of a hair extension training course? Thanks everyone x

Capital do Balmain hair extension courses. I havent done the course myself, but keep telling myself that one day I will. I think its around £250 but that includes the kit as well. Apparently its very profitable. You do have to be a qualified hairdresser though to get on the course, because you have got to cut and style the extensions.

Balmain micro-bonds are a dream! But do not go near the hair, their guarantee stands for nothing, and you will not get refunded if you have a bad experience with their hair.
As you're not wanting to do anyone else's hair, it may be useful looking for a local extensionist who would be willing to show you the ropes (don't know how willing they'd be, obviously you'd have to make it worth their while!) and then buy a kit separately? I don't know how available hair extension guns etc are, as I'm used to buying them professionally, but what with ebay and the like I imagine anything's available! Don't try and do your own with no knowledge/proper equipment though, as you could absolutely ruin your own hair, and end up having to purchase some nice hats whilst you're waiting for it all to grow back!! Good luck |

I Think the Balmain training is excellent I could not fault it ,
and the trainer was the best. But the hair is another story , ( the single strand hair extensions ) after the experiences we had with it, personally I would not touch it . but I have been told that the double hair is ok and the bonds are of excellent quality also . Yes the guarantee sounds good, but they never honored any of our clients complaints. |
