I was looking for some advice from you wonderful hair geeks!

I have always had excessively long hair which I could never do anything with. I have recently cut 15 inches off the length (yes, I told you it was long!) and had some layers added. The longest section is now about 3/4 inches below my shoulders, and the hair is relatively thick.

The problem I have is this: my hair is totally, absolutely dead straight. With the party season coming up, I am looking for some tips on the best way to curl the hair and make it hold, now that it is at a more manageable length.

Do any of you have any tips I can take advantage of?

you could get a wet set done too, big velcro rollers with setting lotion under the hood dryer...the setting lotion would really keep those curls in.......
