I am a cosmetology student and I was bored and looking online to see what jobs are available in my area right now.

I noticed that there were a lot of postings wanting people to "rent booths".

There were also some job listings asking for people just to work there and it didn't say anything about renting a booth.

My question is...what is the difference between renting a booth and not renting a booth? What is the best thing for a newly trained cosmetologist to do with no clientele and little to no experience? Why would a person rent a booth?

I want to know as much as I can about the "stylist world" before I have to start looking for a job of my own.

If anybody could answer these questions for me I would really appreciate it.
