Well here goes! This is my first reply so i am officially not a lurker any more. I suppose I am just worried that i use the site incorrectly. Reading the commandments made me scared. Although i have been doing nails for quite a while so my input might be helpfull to others. I also promise now not be a lurking geek any more!
Also I think this site is fantastic and never dreamed there was anything like this on the net. How wrong I could be!! |

I voted something else. I do post quite often but more often than not I'll just read. I haven't finished training so I wont critique even though I almost always have an opinion. On proper nail questions I'll comment if I know, quite often still comment from a customer perspective as I have been one for almost a decade and still am

Well I guess I should say HI
I have been a lurker for a few months now, my great friend Nat (beautycat) recomended it to me and i've been addicted ever since. The reason I havent yet posted is because I havent done my course yet... and I feel a tad guilty coming on here and reading the amazing tutorials and advice that is given.. so I guess thats why i've been lurking.... but i've made the first step... maybe i'll be a little more brave now and post something if I have anything interesting to say. ohh... have I said how AWESOME this site is!! |

I feel i'm a bit of a lurker, there are soooo many knowlegable geeks on here feel like i might say something stupid, thats why i tend to sit back and read what everyone else has said, then, i know that the answer i was thinking of giving was wrong or right. Leaving it to the professionals, then i can learn from what they are saying and not give somebody false info. The more i learn the more the posts will come.

I'm a lurker for the most part because, though I LOVE nails and have been wearing acrylic nails off and on(mostly on, I've probably gone 6 months off in total) since I was 13(8 years), I'm not a tech. But I am addicted to reading the forums, since I find the details of how stuff is done very interesting. My baby sis is interested in being a tech though. I am as well, but probably much later.

I wasn't ever really a "lurker" as I posted more or less straight away but I do sometimes even now think some threads are better left & answered by the more experienced techs as I'm always thinking maybe I'll say something silly. Same with pics I don't like showing tham as I always feel they'll get ripped to bits & I'd be gutted!!!

I voted for the shy option, although I would also say I'm option 2 as well, don't know anything about nail enhancements yet to give advice. I will probably start my training Dec/Jan so I will need all the help I can get, so you can bet you won't be able to shut me up with all the questions I will be asking

I liiiiiike lurking! I do it because it's a fab way to learn and because I don't yet have the knowledge to be able to answer any queries.
Have you tried fergaling? It's even better than lurking! Bev x |
