Hello! I am a writer; I found this forum by accident, searching Google for totally different reasons, doing research on a well known model. But - since I found you, and this is exactly the time I need to do this, I have a question:

I have never ever had my nails done. Seriously. Because I'm an artist and work with my hands, I have never bothered. But, I am in the middle of a complete makeover project from weight (South Beach diet works! I've lost about fifty pounds!) to fashion, to hair, it's about time I did!

I would love any tips on what to look for in a nail stylist (remember I work with my hands) what to watch out about, anything you can tell me.

I won't be here for long, but I'm glad to meet you all!

Maybe start with regular manicures and then progress to natural nail overlays?

This is what I did for my mum. After getting her nails tip top with weekly jessica manicures, I put clear gel overlays on her nails for protection and strength, and they're fine.

Hope that helps.
