Welcome to the site! There is no need to be scared - we have all been first timers at one time or another.
I can't comment on NSI but can say that Creative are excellent, both their products and training. Get a prospectus from the various companies you are considering and take it from there. Remember - you get what you pay for so don't go for the cheapest. Good luck and happy geeking xx ![]() |

Hi, I decided to join as a first-time participant in a forum after seeing your posting.
Good luck when you take the plunge. I trained in LCN gel product and Star Acrylic last summer. I was an "old acrylic tech" way back when. Gel is huge in Atlantic Canada and clients recognize the LCN name, but Creative Briza is up and-coming fast. I am in the process of changing as I really like the product. I find it is truely self-leveling and a time saver. As for training I feel it is more important to find our about the instuctor first and then the product as the hardest thing to get is the know how, after that I believe that product is important but you can adjust to a new tecnique once you have great basics. Yes, I am a gabber- LOVE my work, opened a home studio in Nov 2005 and the clientle is coming....good luck ! |

Hi, welcome to the nut house! All us geeks are really friendly and a few of us met up last Sunday in Leigh (at the Creative One Stop Nail Shop - you will see it on here referrred to as the OSNS). We had a lovely morning and chatted geeky stuff for a couple of hours.
As Pennijar says the Creative Academy is in Leigh and Debbie Easter who runs the centre is lovely. It would be worth giving her a call and having a chat before you finally take the plunge. Good luck with whichever system you decide to use and whichever company you decide to go with. One thing is for sure though you will be hooked with geeking! |

Hi Gillian
Welcome to the site, it's really good, everyone is helpful and friendly so you will be taken care of. I am a newbie to, I am doing my course on 11 September at Creative, I chose Creative as I have my nails done and my technician is Creative trained, she is so thorough and my nails are always perfect, none have ever come off or been damaged and I believe that this is all down to training. The people at Creative are very nice they are there to ask if you need to know anything before you book, I recommend you visit their site and read through before you decide.www.creativenailacademy.co.uk Best of luck |
