There are times when looking at who's on line that there are as many guests as there are geeks on line.

There are also many many lurkers out there that are lurking about the place.

So a special warm welcome to you all and without doubt it would be wonderful hearing your views and thoughts on the various topics available to us all.

It can be daunting for some taking the first steps to adding their thoughts and views but it really is not that difficult...once you've started you you will find you just won't stop.

Your input could be both refreshing and of value to us all.

I seem to go through wee spells when I am brave and reply to posts but if I'm honest I mainly lurk about in the back ground reading all the posts.

Just to give you an example of this I am on this site most nights but tend not to log on, (just checked my last log in was October) that way I feel better because no one knows I'm there why I feel like this I have no idea maybe as this is my first forum and I just go all shy.

PHEW... I feel better now that my big secret is out

I have to say that i have learnt so much about the beauty industry from this website than any of my courses, so thank you everyone.

Hi there, yep I am also a lurker. I look and learn a lot from all the great posts and the various tutorials but don't feel qualified to post anything myself yet.

You all seem very friendly and hopefully I will get more courage to venture further into geek land!!!!!

I second dhb252. This is a great ice-breaker thread Colin, as I now feel so guilty that I have to come out of my closet. I lurk on this site so much that it's taken over my life and have not able to get anything done. I have learnt so much from the site and have lots of questions myself but have been too shy to come on and ask. But now that I have 'come out' and taken some courage pills, I hope to post more in future.

I'm guilty of lurking too but i have found some brilliant advice on here. I'm currently on the nvq lvl 2 beauty therapy course & i have my spray tan training on Wed with Suntana, so don't feel ready to put my 2 pence worth in just yet!

There's a great support network on here so i will hopefully be able to contribute when i know more about the industry & also how to do this forum lark!! Hee hee!!

Well done for coming out the closet. I know how hard it is for some of you. My daughter has been a lurker on a fashion forum for years and she has never, and will never post. I've just asked her why and she said that to be part of a forum is quite time consuming and she'd much rather read the posts and learn than comment......unlike her mother

I think as Collin has a talent in drawing people out he should start up Collins Sunday's Confessional. That way all you knotty geeks out there can confess your little sins such as who drank the last of the wine but didn't admit to it ect.
