Hi Everyone,

Just thought id introduce myself, Im starting my NVQ level 2 beauty therapy at my local college on the 8th September.. sooo excited cant wait.

I have wanted to work in the industry for years but due to having my little girl (Lily) its had to wait - now im finally doing it and cant wait to begin the long journey to becoming a fully fledged beauty therapist

Im 22 and live with my little girl and my partner in Reigate, Surrey.

Bit worried about starting at college as i keep thinking everyone is going to be school leaving age and ill be the oldest person there and be a misfit and lonely lol -

Im Donna Im also starting college sept doing beauty specialist level 2. I know how u feel i also have a small child and a little nervous startoing college and im also gonna be a mature student as be 32 next month.

Hiya, aww its good to hear from someone in the same shoes! Lily is all ready to go to nursery, she is settling in next week and keeps telling me its fun and exciting . I think that makes me even more excited about starting as Lily is happy to go to nursery aswell.

I really dont know what to expect, i left school at 16 so have never even been to college so im very nervous!!!

aww dont worry to much most classes are mixed ages honey. I done my course when i was 18yrs old and at the time they did not take 16yr olds on the beauty course they'd prefer u to be a bit older and more mature!!

I have done hairdressing level2 and beauty therapy level2 and both courses were mixed ages! you will be fine once your first day is over and done with!
