Just a very quick post to let you know that the category for the Photographic category at The National Nail Comp at ExCeL this March is 20s/30s Glamour. Think Art Deco, Flapper Dresses and all that jazz!! You can enter by calling 020 7610 3001 for an entry form, or returning the form on page 60 of the Jan issue of PN.

wow that sounds great, i just wish i had the confidence to do the comps. I don't as yet but id like to do it at some point.

Got my thinking cap on! Think i might enter this one, it,l be my first photographic since the alternative nail comp.! I know there will be some hot competition though, - Paula!

i dont have the jan issue of the mag, can i download it from somewhere or enter on line,if i was thinking of entering ... that is!!!!

What do you mean photographic, do you just send in a photo or do you have to turn up on the day?

if you read the mags this month they ahve details of this, if you cant get them then phone professional beauty and i am sure they will send you a copy out. or pm kathryn above and she will help you.

The photography comp is a good one to enter, its fun to do.

The theme is a great one this time, something a little different. Flappers girls spring to mind for me.
It is on the monday, and you just turn up in the morning at registration, drop of your pic and then wait for the awards at 4.00pm!
The photos have be of a high standard with the nails as main focus but the background is important to.
You must also submit only 1 photo per entry and not a book of 10. (yes, it has been done, and the judges blindly pick one and it may not be your best!)
You must also submit a written step by step, (put some effort in as its worth some points!) on how and why you did your pic.
You can aslo drop your pic off on the sunday if you are not going on the monday and we will look after it for you, although they will not pay to send pics back so make sure someone is there on the Monday to collect it.

We often have few who send them in, normally in a rolled up tube, with your step by step, but i would send it by reg post to make sure its arrived.
Send them to trades ex, the same address for your entry forms.
