Smiles with Brisa Paint on white
Bagpuss
03-08-05
I have noticed a lot of threads recently asking for help with doing smile lines...using Brisa (or any gel), so took time to see just how I do mine and made some notes because although I am no expert I'm ok at them.

Firstly the best brush I have found for doing them is Creatives...

Hi there
I have just bought the brisa prof kit so this is really handy for me as just started with gel.

Can I just ask POW - is that paint on white? Is that the same as the white gel paint? If so how do you get it onto your gel brush as mine is in a little bottle with it's own brush.

Also forgive me for being thick but i just wanted to check that the second coat is with the same white gel paint and not the clear?

Yes POW means Paint On White... it's not a sculpting gel, you can apply it either with the brush that comes in the bottle or by using a gel brush dipped into the bottle. You use the POW for the first and second coats.
Make sure you're using the Brisa lamp to cure the Brisa gels otherwise you won't get a complete cure and could suffer from service breakdown.
Taking a class in Brisa would be better as you'll be able to get the best out of using the product.

Oh how I wish I had come across this earlier! I have seen lots of directions for smile lines with L&P but not gel. This is a GREAT explanation, Bagpuss. It looks much simpler than my random method that never looked right. I can't wait to try it!

Thanks a bunch!!! Alex

Lol Fab Tutorial for Smile Line

Can I just say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this tutorial.
I was browsing through things the other day and came accross this and I have to say it has changed my outlook towards the dreaded smile line !

I am coming up to my Bio Sculpture assessment (30th June) and was getting really down at not being able to create that perfect line - I could do an acceptable-ish one but wasn't getting the crisp line i was after. Friends and clients were happy with what i was producing but i knew that it should be better and this was getting me down and making me dread the French.
Now after a just a couple of days practice i feel so much more positive that i can do this - still a little tweaking to go but i'm nearly there thanks to this tutorial.

Thanks again, very much appreciated !

This is BRILLIANT! I just now used this tutorial for an indestructible French (my first) and I've never had an easier time with the POW. The brush you recommend is FAB for this technique!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! You rock, baby! XOXOXO
