Petal Nailart

Begin by painting the nails in whichever colour you choose, for this one I've chosen a rich red, AB Positive by Creative.
Let the nails dry thoroughly before applying your nailart acrylic paints.

Using a detail brush paint the outline of your petals, I used black as it stands out well against the red background. Fill in with black paint.

Do this to all of the petals on the nail, they don't have to be exactly the same size so don't panic if they're not perfect.

Once the black has dried change your brush for a fine detailer, choose a colour for the accent, I used a metallic gold. Paint little flicks on each petal, as many or as few as you wish.

Once the gold has dried choose another colour to accent the petals, I chose red as it matched the colour of the nail. Still using the fine detailer, paint little flicks towards the base of each petal.

Once the paint has dried you can add some more flicks coming from between the petals. Change to a medium length striper brush. I painted gold first, let it dry and then used black.

Let the paint thoroughly dry, at this point it looks quite dull and matt in appearance.

Finish off with a topcoat of your choice. The topcoat really brings out the colours of the nailart.
