3D figure

3d-figure-final-1.jpgThis is my first so please forgive me if it is hard to follow.

It's more of a picture step by step rather than having writing under each photo

Depending on what you are creating, place the beads where necessary, as you can see I am creating a leg stretched out, (steps 1,2) so I place the next bead and blend carefully into the already placed bead.
Keep placing the beads and blending where needed, remembering to work slowly and slightly dry, if too dry that bead won't blend very well with the rest. If the bead is too wet it will run away on you and you will spend ages trying to push, pull and blend your bead to where you want it.
When it's time to create the body you want to place the beads on top of each other (steps 3,4,5). Following the same blending, and pressing where needed into the other bead to smooth out and create the shape.

Alternate the size of the beads depending on the part of the body you are working on, ie use larger beads for the body and smaller beads for the arms, tail etc

The arms are a little more difficult, getting your ratio right is essential, on peggy I can put her where I want, to get the correct angle for building up. Another idea is to create the arms in a similar way to the legs but on a form and then when cured enough, glue them to the body.

Think of it as if you are playing with playdoh, but instead of using your hands to build the playdoh into a shape you are using your brush.

Once you have the shape you can add the finer details, like the eyes, etc with paint or a very small bead that you can manipulate into the stripes etc.

Sorry I can't explain it too well, but hopefully the photos will help you understand better.
