ok, i'm trying this out. I hope you all like it. you may have to turn your head because i couldn't turn the picture . crossing fingers and squinting eyes, let me have it lol. and yes the middle finger on the bottom hand is crooked, not the nail.

I really like these. Love the colour and the nail art, well done! I'm far from an expert but you have some bleeding in the cuticle area. If it's polish a quick clean up with a polish remover pen would do the trick.

i love the colour and design, what did you use?
the shape and length all look good the only i would say is that from the line of light round the cuticle area it looks like its quite thick but its hard to tell from the pic.x

Hi hun, is this polish,,, or coloured gel?? or L&P. If critiquing the polish looks nice neat nail art fab, but nails look little wide and thick in zone 3, in my opinion hun, they are lovely, but just givin what my eye can see hun, xoxox I always think best to critique nails which are without colour and nail art iygwim, unless thats what you want critiqueing,,,if I make sense lol xxx

They look pretty good ....... BUT

here's my theory, they have a gel topcoat (before polish) rather than being buffed.

Doing this creates a second layer, which actually can often create a second ridge around the cuticle area to paint up to (but difficult to paint over), hence the cuticle areas being different on different nails.

If you buff em to within an inch of their life around the cuticle area there is no ridge and can be painted all the way to the cuticle (if not almost under it).

If I'm wrong about the gel topcoat, then they need a little more refinement before polish application.

Am i wrong or right?

It's fab to see such a large and clear picture, it hides very little and allows for an honest critique .... well done

they are cnd l&p. the polish is from the opi summer collectiion with the shorts on the package. i don't remember the name. The art is made with Stripe Rite paints and its coated with Out the Door topcoat. i do agree that mine are a little thick but many of our ladies here are factory workers and they snap thin nails as soon as they are applied. i wasn't really sure what to check off on the critique, overall shape i guess and the color/design. I really want to improve my pink and whites, i'll post a pic of them on here later.

Thats great, I think that this is what this forum is for, for all memebers to post techniques but I also think it's important for posters to ask what they want critiquing, as I would love the fab fab advice off some of the great nail techs on here, althhugh my camera is awful , but in all honesty when I do, (very soon) I will be stating what I have used, if they are tiped or scultured, and I will also be just using P&W. MY zone 3 is awful lately, fab everywhere else but my z3 bums, iygwim,,,, xxx
