OKay big boy here we go! Firstly it is very hard to critique a nail when the hand is sat like this, so much better if you can be holding something. this angle makes everything look too 2D.

Good points are that the smiles look consistent. They also appear nice and flush in zone three.

The main points that need improvement is in zone 2. If you look on the index finger you can see this most easily. The line of light dips in zone 2 and so your apex is not going to give maximum strength and could mean your clients are more prone to breakages.

You need to bring your apex back into zone 2, as it is creeping forward into zone 1.

They are a little "hippy" and so could do with a little more filing where the white and pink meet.

Finally the balance of white to pink is out. There should be one third of white to 2/3 pink. Unfortunately this isn't always the choice of the tech, and the client chooses the length they want rather than what really suits them. So this is a minor point.

All in all a good effort, but with a bit more filing refinement they would be much improved.

Thanks very much sassy thats really helped. I didnt even notice the dip in the middle until you pointed it out so thats something I need to work on! Also I understand what you mean about them being hippy, filling has been my weakest point so far but am getting there slowly!

I agree with all the points made by Sassy on where to improve. For someone who has started doing nails so recently, they are very good. Try holding your file straight up the sidewall to see if it runs straight.

the main thing that stands out to me in this pic is the sides are very hippy ..they need to look nice and sleek /slim.
photos are great sometimes as you can see a lot more than you can with the naked eye ..
sometimes its annoying though ,as your client walks away and you are happy ,then you look at pics and go AAARGGHH that lump wasnt there before lol

can i ask you say filing is a weak point hun .why is that ?
is there any particular reason ..for instance i used to be petrified of cutting a client with the file ,so found for months i was too gentle..i needed to be a bit tougher..
