custom blend on myself
OK had another go at a custom blend on myself this time, sorry if the pics are not that clear, got very shaky hands today, I did not want to extend my nail beds as they are quite long anyway. I am really trying to get to grips with custom blending so any advice is welcome.

Lovely as always Jac, the colour looks such a great match for your skin.

Have you used geeg's mix for the tips? as the colour looks a nice ivory shade.

You've deffo got this CBM thing sussed xx well done

I really like this look....and is what I would wear.
I like the length and the shape.
I do think the smile lies are a bit inconsistent, as the index finger is deeper than the rest...BUT I think that makes them look more natural!
I have my own nails just now and my index fingers smiles are deeper than the rest!!

Only thing I will say though Jac..that sidewall on the thumb had me itching to pick up a file and just smooth it a bit more. I bet you have done it already though!!!
As far as the CCB goes...no marbling or colour difference in zone 3... A great match with your skin tone. I think you have it sussed!

Hi Jac

I don't usually comment on pics as it's so difficult to get a 'picture' from a picture (if you see what I mean) although you have given the main angles in the different pics.

From what I can see, the colour match looks great! It's difficult to find any negative comment and I'm not going to for the sake of it. The shape, form and consistency from nail to nail looks great too! I can't see how the blending between zones 2 and 3 works.

I don't think you could improve on this type of nail on YOUR fingers. However, 2 things I'd suggest as the next steps:
-try using a clear in zone 3 and get a great blend into the pigmented zone. This looks sooo natural.
-The best use of a custom blend is to improve the look of a nail (e.g. lengthen the nail bed, hide bitten nails etc) Do a before and after of a bad nail and post this. This will show if you've 'cracked' it as you certainly have on your nails!!

(Did you see Zoe's b&a of the male nail biter? The most difficult of all and she did a great job I think)

Looks great, yet again Jac.

The only thing that is missing is the Solar Oil being drizzled over the top of the hands and it would be a perfect match for Gigi's picture!
