Right Custom Blend on Nail Biter

Hi all
This is a picture of a custom blend I did on my nail biting sister!
I was given this blend by my tutor, who said that on a nail biter, I would be able to see the natural nail line; as you can in this picture. I think that this is quite obvious on close inspection though....when looking for it.
I can't ask my tutor if this is how its supposed to look as she left several weeks ago, and our new tutor...well....she has different ideas on custom blending....won't go there, but I don't think she is really up to the play...

Anyway, all I'm asking today is: Is this ok for a custom blend, or is there another way to disguise the natural nail underneath (as it was very short. more pics in my gallery as can't post in here)....but I don't think that going pinker would have been very attractive.

Thankyou for any ideas you may have
Wendy

What is the recipe that you used for the custom blend?
If you let us know what was used in the blend then we can help by advising on what to add or take away.

i should have thought of that!
I used:
2 parts Intense Pink
1 parts Flawless Pink
2 Parts Perfect Pink
tiny bit of Spanish Tile
tiny bit of City of Lights
(both Spanish Tile and City of Lights, quantity was only about the size of pinch of salt or less,,,basically very little)

hope this helps..thanks

I found for Gigi's mix is awesome for nail biters, yours looks pretty good also, but if you had used one part of an opaque color such as soft white, in place of one of your perfect pinks, you would have gotten a little better coverage.

We are always "playing" with the mix to come up with different tones to match skin color, there are some great ideas on the tutuorial section in the wheel of fortune article. HTH
