Improvement?

I've included two pics for your 'critique'.
They are both reverse french, with a custom shade of pink.

One is the rebalance of my blue french on myself with some yellow added. I used the e-file to carve out a trench to infill the french (as in Nailzoo's/Carl's video).
(PS: mine are also 1wk grown out... kept forgetting to take a pic)

The other is a fresh sculpt on a biter. Reverse french again.

I realize where the flaws are (or at least, I think I realize where most are LOL) but feel free to critique anyhow, just in case I missed something or you have a trick to share to correct my goof.

I'm really struggling with the reverse french. OMG it's hard to do it that way. Haven't learned the trick of it yet.

What I'm really wanting to know is if you see improvement in my L&P.

They look nice...all i would say is that on the sculpts it looks like they need a few swipes of the file to smooth the sides and free edges...just to get rid of those few raggy bits...and zone 3 looks a little too thick...there is like a apparent line instead of the product being flush and blending into the nail.

The coverage gel your using seems to do a good job covering but i think its a tad pale...making the difference between the enhancement and the nail (the margin in zone 3) look greater.

It's L&P hun, not gel

I struggle a LOT with zone 3 with L&P.
Afraid to get too close/too far from the eponychium. I have a tendency to be one or the other, never just right :-(
I'm also adjusting to the hardness of L&P vs gel and am SO AFRAID of filing too rough near the eponychium.

I need to read Gigi's book again, to sort out my brush control issues... and product control. It is SOOOO different from gel EEKS

I agree re: sidwalls. That's an issue I find a tad tricky whenever I have a biter in front of me. Getting the nails just the right width and the sidewalls just right. Since half the nail is gone, I tend to go too wide... and haven't figured out the trick of getting it bang on the first time :-(
Any ideas??

Yup, I'd agree with Bagpuss. It's the zone 3 that stands out to me. It needs to be a bit thinner and blended into the nail.
