Hi All,

I've been looking into buying a minx kit to enable me to introduce this in my salon however after reading and researching i am finding alot of nail techs complaining that it is not lasting as long as it it supposed to on their clients nails. I am Bio Sculpture qualified technician can minx nail art be put under the gel overlay?

Also does minx actually do what it says on the packet????

I haven't tried it on fingers yet, but both my daughter and I have had it on our toes for 4 weeks now, and it still looks great. The designs are fab, and it gets so many comments from people that see it.

I can't comment about using it under gel as I dont do gel. Sorry.

I think some do put gel on top...but theres no need......

Toes do last longer then the finger nails ....They last on finger nails anything between 7-14 days maybe longer depending how well the clients takes care of them and how well they have been preped

One of my clients had hers on for 14 days and were still going strong but she wanted a change of style.....

I think with xmas coming they are ideal... I love them and I have only done a few but glad I got the kit .......

Minx IMO is fantastic and you would be a fool if you dont jump on board, reason being is that its a treatment which keeps your clients wanting more and I think its a fab way of being up to date with the latest must have, I wore the cheetah Minx and flashed my hands off like crazy and wam bam my clients were hooked!! Minx has proven to be my most popular treatment with my ladies and I have parties booked in for Xmas, I have used Bio over Minx and sealed the free edges on fingers and so far I haven't come across any issues, as for toes well mine stay on 6weeks plus without any gel/topcoat lol.
The party season will soon be here and I think if you ordered your kit NOW, you will easily make your money back twice over!!

Can I just ask, you say to order your minx kit but do you need training or is the kit self explanatory, and also where do you get the kit from?

No you dont need to have training but there is a training video online to watch which is really good and helps. You do need to be trained in Manicure to be able to get the kids through Sweetsquared and to do it. It is really simple to do though, you can also get the Minx kit through Ellisons.

How much is everyone charging? also how long does minxing nails take??

My Bio sculpture gel lasts 4 weeks on my clients hands if i was to put this under my gel i'm hoping it will also last for the same amount of time!

I have been looking at buying the minx kit to give it ago, as it is something different to offer your clients, do you all have the lamp or do you use something else! X

I got one from Ellisons this morning...it must have been the last one!

We charge £30 for fingers and same for toes but if one of our clients asks for a full pedicure/manicure with Minx we charge £45.
Took me roughly an hour to do my first set on toes and i now have it down to 45 minutes and for fingers it takes me 40 minutes.
Definately worth getting in on the Minx craze! x
