Hi all.

As a lot of you know i've done a l&p course but never qualified after having problems with the college so i've been progressing with my nails on myself and i've found a course in Liverpool(yep nowhere near me) so my boyfriend's paying for this for my xmas pressie and my mum is also going to pay for me to do a CND conversion for my xmas pressie..

..but, as all l&p is different how do i know i will be able to work with the cnd system i know everyone will say how good it is and it's award and i know and i'm so exited about finally creating an account with them but i don't want to spend the money on the conversion if i'm not going to be able to work well with the l&p system, like NSI i can't work with that to save my life to be quite honest,lol.

so i know there are some small like trial kits you can buy but you can't buy them less you've trained with cnd so how am i ment to know if i can work with them without spending all that money or do they allow you to buy trial kits?

CND is so easy to work with compared to NSI,
i cant use nsi to save my life but have never had a problem with cnd, nsi sets up way too quick i find, hth

There are a few ways to try the CND product. There are Try Me kits and naturally can purchase one of these if you have a recognised certificate of training. You could do a 121 and have a try of the product or you can do a conversion.

My question to you is .... if you can't work with L&P now, do you think there is some magic wand in the CND product that is going to make it easy for you to work with it?

To be sure CND IS a very easy product to work with and you have time to get it right but one of the things you to have to have is a very light touch with your brush, where as with many other products one has to be much more firm with the brush (even using the belly of the brush) to make it move ... CND is not like that so some changes of technique need to be made .... if you do not know what those changes are then what is the point of buying a try me kit without a class??

A conversion class TEACHES you how to use and to control the product ... take my advice and take the class and learn how to use it correctly and how it works (because it is different ... no matter what uninformed people may tell you.

have you spoken to sweet squared? maybe give them a call and see if there is any way they can help you....

I currently work with NSI but looking to do a conversion with cnd in the near future just because of their prep procedures I have not actually used CND's L&p product yet but I am going to get the trial pack next week.

I can work with l&p what i'm saying is everyone works a lot better with some products than others i was simply saying i don't work well with nsi i wasn't saying i can't work with l&p, and no don't think their is a special wand(unfortunately) it's practice and time..and of course very good educators at cnd!! x

Sorry, I thought you meant you couldn't use L&P yet.

Makes me wonder why you are trudging all the way to Liverpool when you live in Wakefield and could have just done your training with CND in Leeds??? Seems sort of an ass backwards way to do it to me? I'm sure you must have your reasons.

What are you training with now to finish your foundation?

Why don't you go straight to CND Leeds for your training if your thinking of converting than you'll have the best training from the start and its nearer to you..xx

I agree with the above in that I also think u should go for the CND foundation. I did it the other way and spent considerably more money than if I'd just gone straight to CND. I have now done conversions in both l&p and brisa and will do all my future training with CND so thoroughly recpmmend them. HTH x

I've done a l&p course, i got upto infills and left as the college was a joke.
this is why i always practice on myself and no friends etc,lol.

I only need to do the course to touch up on my blending skills and to cover infills which would cost me a lot less than doing the whole course from scratch but i'm still going to get a certificate so i can go to CND and do my conversion.

I know everyone always says you have to pay good money for good education etc, but i know this college is good i know a lot of people that have been and if i was doing a course from scratch i wouldn't be going but like i said i've already done most of it just no certificate to practice with.

The conversion will teach you how to work with CND products so don't worry about wasting money. Trial kits are ok but I find that I can't give a confident opinion on a product without being taught how to use it first. I agree that you should go with CND and I have not even converted yet although I will as soon as I can. I have spent so long researching and I know CND is where I want to take my career. You need to now figure out where you want to take yours

You say you've already done most of it but admitted that most of IT was rubbish!

However much you think you are saving by trying to go around and come in the back door to CND ... you will never replace the good solid foundation education you would have got from a CND FoundaTION CLASS. Put together the cost to get to and from L'pool assessments etc ... you will probably not have saved very much and you will have lost out on allot. Still that is your choice.
