Nail art at Xmas fetes - 24-10-09, 09:37 AM

ive been asked if i would be interested in having a "nail art" stall at my daughters xmas fete
im quite happy to oblige, anything to get my name and business cards out there! and its only costing £10 plus a small donation to their raffle so not too bad
although i have only recently trained, im quite happy with my work .. plus have have several weeks to practice before the big day
would just love to hear peoples experiences re above, what they charge, popular designs and colours, if they get repeat business etc etc
many thanks as always, blush x

i did a fete in summer, you have to work quick so keep your ideas simple either stickers or just paint flicks and dont take to much choice in polish colours or you will be there all day while they decide lol, it is good fun though x

hi
funny you answered my post, i was planning to place an order with you for supplies .. small world!
can i ask how much you charged per child, did you do art on cpl of nails or all .. was thinking of offering 2 choices - stickers, simple designs etc on all nails or painted nails with more detailed work on the thumbs - do you think this would work
also, can i ask what polish you use? i have invested some opi which im happy with, but cant afford to add more colours in that particular line
many thanks

A Friend of mine recently did this at her childs schools summer fair.

She did 2 designs you could choose from, pink nails with white hand painted daisies, or white nails with black paw prints, very simple and quick to do and it went down a storm with the little ones. I think she charged £3/4 per child.

I just wondered, do you file, do base coat, colour and topcoat when doing such an event? or just paint and go so to speak?
Thinking of doing something similar myself and concerned about time? Also with regards to sanitation would you just get the children to rub their hands with a sanitizing gel?
Thank you xxx
