I tell them it lasts longer on the nails and that creative are the best around but it's all coming down to the pennies when I tell them the price of them and although I reinstate what I've said again and explain why it is that price they tend to say it's more than what they are wanting to pay.
I sell Eve Taylor skincare as well and I sell that really well. I do have a sales background which is I was top seller at the Spa I used to work with (14 staff) and I used to work in car sales so it's not that I am not able to sell it's the price of the polishes holding me back. Obviously the clientelle not wanting to pay that price for their nail polishes. Dont get me wrong I adore creative polishes and dont really want to switch but just see other friends who have salons selling nail polishes after their treatments because they only cost £5 to take away |

I don't know how much Creative varnishes are, but I sell Jessica varnishes that cost £8.95 for 14.8ml (that's 0.5fl oz), although they also sell smaller midi-sizes at £5.70 each. I have no trouble retailing varnishes at this cost, they fly off the shelf, but then a lot of people also come in to buy varnish as Jessica is a name familiar to them.

I think thats what I am going to be looking at doing. I have found that a few clients have came in saying they have bought OPI, maybe they haven't heard much about creative (not sure if its as well advertised as OPI)

I actually think this statement is very misleading not to mention unfair ... after 30 years, CND polish has a great reputation and is as good if not better a polish than any out there. True that OPI spend shed loads marketing their po9lish but if I tell my clients the benefits to them of buying CND then they buy it .. they trust me and it is not as expensive as OPI so there goes the price issue out the window. The new CND range is more expensive (and deserves to be) but the client gets 3 polishes for the price of two so that is a selling point in itself. I sell what I sell .. the clients trust what I say implicitly and drying time being so fast for CND polishes plus the fact that they are 3 FREE and all the other features an benefits mentioned, they fly out the door Just took on the new CND range of Colour and Effects in Spain and in the first week had to completely restock the rack ... in one week! So some can sell it alright ... think you need to stick to your guns and get your clients to trust your judgement ... CND are by no means the most expensive polishes around in fact OPI retail at a higher price. |

I looove CND polishes, although I do retail more opi, and orly polishes as I can purchase the minatures and I find this is more handy for my clients, I do really love the coverage of cnd and tell this to my clients, but at the end of the day, as long as my clients are being sold a top end product they dont really care,, iygwim. I also find the minature bottles sell really well as people get fed up very quickly... xxx

But with the new CND they wont get fed up, as all they have to do is buy an effect and then they have a whole new color!
This is what I love about the new range, the client can have the color she likes + only on effect, and then have 3, and if she buys one more, either color or effect, she'll have 2 more, this gives the client the opportunity to use every drop of it! And the effects on forever french I can only imagine how beautiful that could be, and this way they won't have to pay me for extra nailart, buy a bottle and after two visits, they are already saving money on that account.... The range is just released in this country, and my clients are really tight with their money, and still I'm calculating in my head how to afford the big rack, as I'm sure this is more value to them, than both pinkies and cheap enamels.... Now off to rob a bank or likewise, so I can have my enamels |

I agree with geeg that creative are a very high quality but for some reason the public don't seem to get it and they are hard to retail i have spoken to alot about this when i was choosing which line to stock, i plumped with orly as they retail very well and the minatures fly, but there is no reason any should not sell
