Just a few questions about Minx - 03-11-09, 03:01 PM

Hi all
I have a few questions regarding minx, if any1 can help that would be great
Can minx beused on clients who have rigids in their nails???
will using hot water eg a bath or washing up affect the minx????
what aftercare advice do you give the clients???
do they give the nails protection?????
how long do you tell the clients that they last on the hands????
how do you know it's time to replace the minx?????
if one size is too small and the next one up is too big what do you do???

thank you
xx

Can minx be used on clients who have rigids in their nails???
No, if the ridges are deep or noticeable then the finished effect will not be nice and you will get air trapped between the MINX and the nail, moisture too so they will not last. You could try a ridge filler first to give a better base. Stay away from the metallics as every ridge will show.

will using hot water eg a bath or washing up affect the minx????
NO, as long as the client does not try to peel them or touch them they handle hot water, saunas, steam rooms etc just fine.

what aftercare advice do you give the clients???
I tell them not to touch them and not to constantly test them !! Otherwise there is no special aftercare required.

do they give the nails protection?????
Yes, they do.

how long do you tell the clients that they last on the hands????
With care they last a week or more, but I only tell the client they last for a few days .. for special events etc. If I tell them this, they seem determined to prove me wrong (great) if I guarantee fr longer they are determined to complain!!

how do you know it's time to replace the minx?????
When they have grown out so much thAT THEY LOOK LIKE THEY NEED REPLACING. With toes about 4-5 weeks ... some longer.

if one size is too small and the next one up is too big what do you do???
I would trim to fit .. however, I like a nice free margin around the Minx designs and I apply them like polish with a free margin that makes them look sleek and slender.
