Acrylic Extensions using Gems - 05-11-09, 11:02 PM

Hi Geeks

Just after a little advice on what is the best way to include gems etc when doing acrylic/gel extensions. I have a client who has booked an appointment and wants her nails doing in two colours diagonally across her nails with gems going along the line where the colours meet (hope that makes sense lol) buit i have never done this before and wondered what is the best way to do it.

Any advice would be helpful

Thank you

When I do colour l&p I normally use a gel top coat, this is when I add my gems, before I cure the gel and they don't budge.

i have done rhinestone tips before now and aplly them with a little nail glue before hand and then added the acrylic over the top. this is what my client wanted and having never done them before i gave it a go. they were fantastic and she has since had 4 more sets of different rhinestone tips!!
