Hi All! I finally watched the new season of "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" last night and it got me thinking. In your fantasy world, (money being no object) what would you want Tabatha to do to your salon? And, if you couldn't have Tabatha, who would you want to takeover your salon?

I would love 'my' salon updated to at least the 1990's...LOL! Seriously, we do need some updating. Paint, new furniture, etc. would be FAB! I would love a proper reception area that looked like a nice sitting room. I would like to have a separate room for pedicures. I think that would be great and increase our pedicure clientele. I would like to takeover the building next door and have more room. That way, half of the salon could be hair, the other half, nails.

Also, I would like to see every employee, whether hair or nails, go for CURRENT training. I am appalled at what I see sometimes. It makes me cringe!

If I couldn't get Tabatha, I would love geeg to be my takeover person. Kind of a selfish reason, really. I just want to meet her and train with her for a few days. I think geeg could get us on the right track, even in this recession!

I think one of my best friends has just opened my dream nail salon!!

It is a bit on the small side but has everything without looking cramped. She has been very clever with colours and how everything is set out. Modern yet cozy and comfortable (which doesn't always go together). She is called Jo Carlisle in Moraira.

Jo is expecting her first baby in the middle of December and I am going in to do all her clients for a month so I'll get a first hand experience at how it all works AND I get to work with her lovely husband Gonzalo who will be doing all the manicures and pedicures and Minxing (as well as enhancements when he can fit them in). Should be great fun but it will be Christmas (what was she thinking) so I'll probably be done in at the end of it.
