A Greenie is a Bacterial Infection.
The trapped bacteria feeds on the oils and contaminates which are trapped between the natural nail plate and enhancement. There are a few reasons for this; Improper Prep, A crack or break in the enhancement, Client repairing own enhancement by using adhesive. It is very unlikely that the client is prone to having greenies there will always be an underlying reason.
