Advice for a beginner - Shellac & Minx - 24-10-10, 10:48 PM

Hi, I am looking for a bit of advice. I want to train as a nail tech and then work towards offering mobile treatments. I am keen on going down the CND route and would like to offer shellac and minx. I want to do things properly and understand that nails take a lot of practice, so I do not expect to do a course and then be experienced. It is my understanding that I will need to do a foundation manicure & pedicure course as a starting point. Once I have completed this how do I go about getting trained in Shellac and minx? - I have been told this is sometimes free when you buy the kits? Is this correct? I want to make sure I budget effectively - What sort of set up costs should I expect for tools, Shellac, minx, and insurance etc? What would be your top tips for getting started? All help appreciated.

I think you would be better giving Sweet Squared a call as they will be able to answer all your questions, give you advise on the courses you want to train in and point you in the right direction.
