thought id just have a practice at putting on some lovley red polish, as you do in nail comps, how on earth do you get it so perfect round the cuticle area, i no you have leave a little space between cuticle and polish. mines not too bad but you can see were my brush is starting each time.

The way l do polish so you have a neat cuticle area is -
Get your bead of polish on one side of brush. Not too much you want nice thin coats. Apply it 3/4 down the nail and 'push the brush towards the cuticle so it 'splay's' out like a fan - this helps you get right up close without touching as the brush is well flat, and has an oval edge shape to it, sweep it down to the free edge, then do the sides by splaying the brush and curving slightly around the edges, then second coat exactly like the first. The whole time l have my pinky finger rested on my ring and middle finger which helps steady me. Hope this makes sense, as im pooped. Take care |
