Curing time for Gelish in a 9W lamp - 28-02-12, 12:00 PM

Hey Geeks!

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I wanted to buy some Gellish for personal usage (as I'm not yet qualified) but my UV lamp at home is just a small 9watt lamp.

I know Gellish cures in 2-3mins under a 36W lamp but can anyone advise how long they reckon I'd need to cure the Gellish under my little 9W??

Thanks in advance

<3 x

Gelish requires a 36watt UV lamp to cure or their LED lamp.
All of the Gel polishes I have looked into also require a 36 watt UV lamp.

I am not prepared to 'guesstimate' a cure time with an inferior lamp on either myself or my clients.

Your trainer should come on here and read all 10 million threads on here about lamps...that would learn her lol

As an example, Dream Gel supplied by Essential nails (Gel course) cures in 5 mins in their 9 watt lamp and 2 mins in a 36 watt lamp.

We all know that if you leave an open Gel bottle/tub lying around near a UV light it will cure (go hard) eventually.

Therefore, I think your trainer was probably correct in adding 3 mins.

Why not give Harmony a call. They're usually quite helpful.
