Where can I buy sparkly red and blue gel - 07-08-05, 09:19 AM

I am wanting to do some sparkly tips on myself and would like the ruby slippers look or blue boogie nights look, but in Gel. Does anyone know a company that sells the sparkly gels already made up, or do I have to mix it myself. I use NSI Balance gels.

Suppose I could go upstairs and browse through all my catalogues (when I find them) , but to be honest, feeling a bit lazy and thought someone on here might know the answer and save me going and sorting out all the catalogues.

Thanks.

LCN do glitter gels - I think they are £9.95 a pot. I know they do a ruby red, and I think they do blue.

I mix my own glitters using the IBD clear gel (thin not builder) with fine glitter dust. I get mine from www.jillcraft.co.uk (go to PeeWee glitters) but I've seen nice glitters on Ebay on a recent thread and also a site http://dsfm.uk.com/catalog/
If you can get little white jars you can mix up a small quantity at a time and put them in their own jars, or if you're feeling rich and know you'll use a lot of it, just mix it up in the original jar.
I think some people also just get a bit blob of gel on their brush, dip that into the glitter dust and then apply to the nail, that way you are only ever mixing up exactly what will go on the nail.
One thing - keep a separate brush for your glitter gels as it's often impossible to clean ALL the glitter dust out.

BTW you can get IBD gels from www.salonsdirect.com

Thanks for that link those glitters look fab - they have lovely ranges of colours.
I bought some glitter from Ebay but it was chunkier than I wanted, I really wanted the fine dust. If you look in my gallery I have just posted a piccy of glitter tips I did on myself yesterday. I mixed about 5 glitters to get the colour I wanted. I scooped out some Brisa Clear gel and mixed it on a wooden spatula with a seperate brush. This might be the better and cheaper option as you can then mix and match rather be tied to 1 or 2 colours. HTH
