Has anyone used the Carlton Institute for training? - 06-07-12, 09:28 PM

I am tempted by their manicure & pedicure course but am wondering about their reputation. What should I expect from a manicure & pedicure course just so that I know if I will be fully trained

Thanks

I had three friends who enrolled at carlton last year for their level three beauty and ended up back at my college to study their level three!!
They all said that it wasn't worth the £..... They paid and the additional cost to be assessed etc was far too much.
They seemed to have learnt more at college then they did at the carlton, reason bring they were forever asking questions upon questions for something they learnt only a few weeks before hand.

try Newcastle college. I am in the middle of a 6 week city and guilds manicure and pedicure course and can highly recommend it. ive learned sooo much, not only about manicure pedicure but about other beauty interests too. whats best is it is free (apart from your kit, but even that wasnt too bad). I honestly expected to gain not a lot and in my third week I am amazed at how much I have learned.

i recommend a longer course.

i trained at the carlton institute and it's ok for some things but for man/ped i would recommend your local college where you can get more time with your tutor to go over things.

if you want the qualification, carlton will meet your needs but i think that college can be more reassuring in terms of gaining confidence.
