Nail polish drama -

Does any one have advice on how to stop pale coloured nail polish, especially milky pale pinks and creams from turning out streaky. These colours are popular with my older clients, and I am never satisfied with the finished result. Thanks

are you rolling the bottle between your hands first to mix the colours..some of the color pigments may have separated and just need mixing back together again...dont shake the bottle though....lol xx

It might not actually be your technique, but the brand of polish that you might be using or the brush that is in the bottle. The polish inside the bottle might be a little thick possibly? Having said that Seche do some pale colours and they are specifically formulated to not streak(So they say) but i don't seem to have a problem with them.

Thanks for the replies. The polish I am using is Misa, all the other colours are ok, its just the milky coloured pink. I use a base coat. and apply 2 coats of the colour, then a quick dry top coat. It just doesn't seem to blend together like the other colours.at first I thought it was the polish itself until a client came in with her own polish that was like a cream colour. Same problem
now I cringe when a client asks for one of THOSE type of colours! Oh and yes I do roll the bottle in my hands to mix the colour. What on earth am I doing wrong!

OPI and Mavala streaking? is it possible some of the streaking could be down to how much pressure is applied to the brush and how much polish you have 'loaded' onto it?
have a look at the tutorial, it could help Precision Polishing tutorial |

You must always remember to apply very thin layers of polish and do two or three layers as applying the polish too thick in one coat can cause streaking.
The first layer may look slightly uneven, but a second coat will even it out. |

Have just received my new order of 'Lish" french polish collection. Used the 'pink sheen' it has a slight shimmer as Melody Jane says NO STREAKS!!! yeah!! My Misa French (creamy)Pink is going straight in the bin. Now i know this doesnt really solve my polish problem if some one wants a creamy pink, But it helps with my french manicure for now.
