I, like so many others, started my training with one company and then 'found' Creative. I think it's because I went at my nail career 'bull at a gate' and just chose the easiest course - it wasn't the cheapest but it was a Home Learn course which appealed to me at the time. Later though, when I was pottering around the internet, I came across this site among others and this name Creative kept popping up.... suddenly it all made sense!! The penny dropped and I booked on the four day foundation course. I thought that I would crumble in the class with other people watching but honestly, it was a scream and the tutors are fantastic.... definitely the way to go..... Hope you get on your course soon. Good luck

Hi

I understand you saying that you don't learn much in one day on a course and appreciate your opinions. But for me a mum of two looking to return to work and not wanting to go back into working in an office full time. This course gave me an insight into doing nails and the basics. Most of what i have learned since the course are from my own research and lots of practice. Sometimes you can have the best people training you but if your heart isn't into doing nails then you ain't gonna be that good. Anyway that's just my opinion. I also must admit that i went with Carlton for my VTCT course because i knew of no-one else into nails and it did take me a while to find this site. Which i find brill and the info and tips and hints helps no end.

I trained at Southern Beauty with Star Nails who seem to dominate Reading for nail extension training unfortunately! However all I can advise is, like already mentioned before, go mobile with your manicures and save for the best training you can get which I believe like many others is with Creative. They offer training from Maidenhead so nice and near and she's a brilliant teacher there. They are also offering a training college too now which means once you've finished the initial training you can get ongoing experince with them which is invaluable. I haven't heard too good things about the Carlton Institute and considered going there myself but to be honest I think it's just an expensive private college and the money you spend there you would benefit much more by putting towards the Creative coarse. No one can do a days training and learn much about nail extensions - to me it seems a waste of time but hey thats just my opinion.
Reading has alot of competition for Nails in general so make yourself one of the better ones and get it right first time!!
Good luck with what ever you decide

Wow! They must have dropped their prices then, I payed nearly double that a couple of years ago .... and they charged me 80 quid for a 6 watt lamp which was so useless to me once I didnt want to use their Nailite UV acrylic, I gave it away!
