Hi
To do an individual petal, you place lay down a small dryish bead, in say bright pink, then you take an even smaller dryish bead in white, & place it on top of the first bead. Then you push the pointed flags of your brush into the centre of the bead 'stack' lol, pushing rthe beads into a pointed petal shape. What you get is a white liliy petal with pink edges. Add 3 more petals, make a tiny bead in another colour for you flower centre. Voila! I'll try to upload a pic... They're not great, but you get the idea! |

double dipping.
i usually do 3 colours white first then dipinto maybe blue then pink the make sure you gently roll the small ball off so you leave the white underneath so when you press out you have the white at the very edge and the colours towards the centre |

thanx for the pointers girls!
I was just visiting the nailsmag site and ran into an image done by crystal. She does an amaizing job with nails and very detailed! I visited her site www.crystalnails.pl and i just wanted to know how she does such detailed and precise work with her flowers...if you look at the image where there are burgandy petals and white smaller ones with a hole in the middle... Can you do such work with acrylic? Because it looks as if she has done it with gel... im not quite sure... what do you think? |
