I was wondering if you need to leave one mm left on the nails you just remove the shine(the first practise sheet) so they can see you havent filed the cuticle?Cos she doesnt do that on the move(or you cant really see if she leaves any),but she leaves 1 mm free when she does the gel (of course)...

yes does she leave 1mm that she doesnt remove the shine off,cos you cant see on the movie..(1mm from the nail fold,so shedoesnt touch the cuticle)

I think you are supposed to go as close to the cuticle as you can so you don't get lifting. I'll check in my book when I get home for you.

you need to remove shine off all the nail plate where you are going to apply product to, so that it adheres well, so if you shy short of the cuticle area slightly, then you should do too when you apply product,
you should be able to remove the shine off all the nail plate without touching the eponicyium
