I need help - 02-06-06, 03:24 PM

I started my business last Dec as a BioSculpture tech, very new. Had a lot of trouble with the product, can never do a fill, hard to soak off, not lasting. I switched to Calgel but I still get separation at the free edge and not great customer satisfaction. My business depends on customer satisfaction. I think what I need is a tough top coat UV that I can put as the last one and it will protect , it does not have to be soakable but I think it should be self leveling. Can anyone out there help me. I have no trainers near me and the sales people are only trying to sell their product. Has anyone tried quintessence? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I cant keep giving free services. PS I do like the Calgel more than Bio

hi ya

I use bio and have also tried calgel - both very similar - problem with the both of them is they are 'soft gels' not really known for their STRENGTH, DURABLILITY and 'COLOUR stable-ness' (is that a word!!) .......ah...STABLILITY - thanks izzy ! lmao

The free edge seperation will occur if either a) your not capping the free edge or b) the client is filing in between appointments.

I dont find bio a pain to soak off i just give it a buff first then apply cotton pads soaked in acetone and wrapped in foil and it bubbles off nicely in 10 mins or so.

I wouldnt bank on a non soak top coat over the top working - i tried brisa uv finish gloss and it just 'cracked' along the stress area NOT GOOD....try the biosculpture S gel i have found that much better. AND get them to use the bio top coat in between appointments.

When your filing bio - GENTLY DOES IT - with a 240 grit or you will 'tear' it....it DOES NOT file down much as it is too 'rubbery' (this is what i have found ~ i know some of the geeks do loads of infils ) i can only manage 2 infils before it looks thick and ugly so i prefer to start with a fresh set.

Hope that helps a bit.
