Is gel more popular than acrylic?

gel for me!

Its very popular in my area ....however 2 years ago when i first trained it was more l+p.

I think it varies from area to area.

still l/p in northampton, although i have had a few more enquiries than usual about gel lately, so maybe the tide is turning.

People still ask for acrylics her, so I say I use an acrylic gel which leads into a conversation about what they are REALLY looking for. I've never lost a client yet because I don't do l&p!

L&P for me.................i get the occasional "iwant organic gels that dont ruin your nails"

If you want to know the industry information ... Liquid and Powder sales are WAY WAY beyond those of gel systems.

i think people use the term 'acrylic nails' to mean nail extensions in general. most of the time they dont know or care about what we are using as long as they have long nails.

In our salon i would say 65% (guessing here ) are gels. the rest acrylic.
But most other salons around here do mostly acrylics.

i love working with L&P at the moment x

In France, gel is way more popular that L+P.

There are two reasons for that:

• People think it's easier to apply,
• There is a lot of people telling that L+P causes serious damage to natural nails, that L+P will soon be forbidden, that L+P smells are dangerous, etc. This is bull****, but it's now a very popular myth.

There was a large exhibition on April ("congres international des nouvelles esthetiques"). Gel was everywhere. It was actually very difficult to watch L+P demonstrations.

It was Sassy but its Nestle now, purely 100% organic
